Justin concentrates his practice in the areas of business and commercial law and litigation, commercial lending transactions, creditor's rights and bankruptcy. He provides counsel and representation to business clients in financial, transactional and general business matters. He has substantial experience representing clients in State and Federal court commercial litigation, and in arbitration proceedings. Justin regularly serves as counsel for lending institutions on commercial loans, including loan documentation, loan workouts, liquidations, foreclosures, litigation and bankruptcy cases. He also serves as debtor's counsel in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Justin is a member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Neutrals, and is a past President of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association.
Justin's recent legal projects include:
- Representation of one of the nation's 50 largest accounting and financial services firms in all aspects of its merger with several other firms to form one of the largest accounting and financial services firms in the nation
- Representation of a business client in the purchase of a retail clothing store
- Representation of a regional equipment dealer in arbitration against its supplier, a national manufacturer, for wrongful termination of a distributorship agreement, resulted in a substantial arbitration award in favor of the dealer
- Representation of a multi-state manufacturer and distributor of building products in all aspects of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, involving assets valued in excess of $20,000,000, the sale of numerous commercial and industrial real estate holdings, and a $13,000,000 refinancing transaction
- Representation of a municipality in Federal Court litigation and arbitration proceedings
- Representation of a secured lender in the liquidation of a clothing importer involving loans in excess of $7,000,000, and a secured lender in foreclosure against a fruit packing facility
